CoreComm Message Center FAQ
Some frequently asked questions about the CoreComm Defender Plus are:
What new features can we expect to see with the new CoreComm Defender Plus, compared to the current Spamcatcher system?
- The ability to control what e-mails you get.
- Multiple levels of spam and virus filtering.
- Customizable settings allow you to control the sensitivity of each of the levels of filtering available.
- The ability to only receive e-mail from people you have specified.
Is any special software needed to use CoreComm’s Defender Plus?
- No special software is needed to use the Defender Plus system. All you need is a computer with an internet connection and web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer 6, Netscape, etc.) -- all of the work is done by CoreComm's servers.
Why do I see the word ‘antivirus’ in my e-mail address
once logged into the Defender Plus web page, and is it going to affect how I
get my e-mail?
- Having 'antivirus' in your e-mail address is The Defender's way of showing you that it is activated on your account and is filtering according to your specifications. This does not affect how you send or receive e-mail, or how anyone sends e-mail to you.
What if I have additional questions?
- Within the new Defender Plus system you will find a very in-depth Frequently Asked Questions section. Nearly all questions you may have are contained within this section.
